Memorial Day camping

As usual my daughter didnot want her picture taken.
My professional frisbee player.

We went to cypress lake for a camping trip this weekend, and I have to admit we had to cut the trip short. It was just to hot with the kids and we ended up with ants in our tent! Well anyway we did have some fun as you can see above but when we came home Kahlan went to sleep looking like the below picture and woke up looking like the next picture! Yep she found herself some poison Ivy. I feel so sorry for her. Overall the camping trip did not go as planned, but you have to look at the fun parts.

Connor's last day of preschool!

Last Friday was Connor's last day in preschool! I can't believe I have a kid that is going to start kindergarden I must admit I am so excited! When you have three kids and you get one in school you feel like you have really accomplished something. They had a water day at greenfield on the last day and I left Cole with my mother in law and brought the other two and they had a blast. There was a big inflatable slide they had water pouring down and the kids landed in water down at the bottom. It was pretty deep at the bottom and Connor loved it, Kahlan on the other hand went down it once and when she went under water for a second at the bottom she came up screaming and that was it for the slide and Kahlan. She loved the bubble area. All the Baird kids were there as well so of course my kids were happy!

My sneaky kids!

Let me give a little back story about the above pic. Chrissy, Michelle, Angela, and candy came to see me when I was in the hospital with Cole. They were trying to cheer me up and brought things to do my nails, and they brought me some very bright red nail polish and I must admit I don't use it often. My kids thought that it was Cole's color and while I was on the phone they took it out of my night stand and painted there brother. Luckily I was only gone from the room for a minute when I came back in they dropped the nail polish and ran while my little man just looked up at me and smiled!

My kids also love to play hide and seek with there daddy. Dutch is such a good sport about it to he hides and hunts over and over again. I must admit though my kids are not all that inventive with there hiding locations, its usually something like laying on there bed with the blanket thrown over them and there feet sticking out the end while they laugh. Finally the other day my kids wised up and after daddy went hunting for awhile he found them coming out of the cabinets in the bathroom and we were kind of impressed.

Loving the octopus!

My mom bought the kids this octopus that sprays water and the kids had a ball with it. I don't know if they were wondering if it was real are what because it took some time to get them to go up and touch it. It became like this big thing who would ease up there and touch the octopus, which finally Connor did. They had a great time.

Connor finally touches the octopus!

Whats been happening

We have had a few events lately that I have been meaning to blog about and have not found the time to do so. I am going to play a little catch up.

May 2ond - May 4th
We went camping for the first time since we had our third child. We love camping but three kids with one being a baby all in a tent did make me a little worried. We had a great time. My dad came with his camper so we could come out of the heat for a little while is we wanted to. My brother his girlfriend, my nephew and sister also came. With all the family to help with the kids we actually found some time to relax as well.

Cole with his first sunburn, I know I felt horrible!

My nephew and his funny little grin!
The water was so cold, I could not believe the went in!

Cole was dedicated today. my kids went up on stage with us and stood still and behaved, which made me really happy. I felt really blessed to stand up in front of this church that has been so good to me and my family and dedicate my little boy to my god!

Lets mud wrestle!

We had our small group get together this Saturday, and we were suppose to have a slip and slide and other fun water stuff for the kids, but it rained and it was cold so we couldn't do the water stuff. The kids were really disappointed and when they located a decent size mud hole outside they decided to go for it. It was a little late by the time I saw them but oh well sometimes you just have to let them go. They had a blast!! They were shivering and disgusting but I think they thought it was worth it. Its great to be a kid, I have to admit it was tempting!

joining the world!

I am starting to really feel like cole is a part of the family now. At the beginning when all they do is sleep and eat its like they are just there, you love them to death, but there just there. Cole is finally awake enough during the day to play with and enjoy. He is growing fast and will be 3 months old on April 30th. Kahlan gets upset when her baby Cole (as she calls him) cries. The only problem is that her way of fixing that is to cover his mouth, which freaks me out so I have to keep a close eye on her.
On another note I am in a real decluttering process in my home right now. I am getting rid of stuff left and right, and I don't mean just clothes. I am getting rid of everything from furniture to houseware items to clothes ofcourse. I was starting to feel like my stuff was owning me instead of vice verse! It always feels good when you can sit in your home and breathe because everything has a space and your not afraid to open a closet from fear of everything pouring out.
